Hacienda's owners are sisters, Vivian and Beverly, both born in Charleston, South Carolina, and who spent their early childhood in North Charleston, South Carolina, with their working, single mother. They were nurtured by a large extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and older cousins. Summers were filled with memories of visiting grandparents in Washington, D.C. and exploring their great grandmother's dairy farm in rural Virginia. Hours were spent climbing through barns, collecting fresh eggs from nests discovered in the hay-filled barns, harvesting and eating fresh vegetables and fruits, "helping" to "slop the hogs", calling in the cows at daybreak and at evening milking time, and trying, without success, to "catch" a calf left stranded in the barn. Vivian and Beverly still have fond memories of catching fireflies in glass jars at dusk and falling asleep watching their twinkling lights.
As pre-teenagers, Vivian and Beverly entered a new phase of their lives. Their mother remarried and they move to Ohio for 18 months. After a short stay in Southern California, they were off to live and attend school in England and Germany.
After an exciting few years, Vivian and Beverly became true "California Girls", living and attending high school in Southern California. However, their final high school years were spent in Dayton, Ohio, where they enjoyed some notoriety as the "California Girls", the "Langan Sisters".
Soon afterward, Vivian went off to college and Beverly went off to become a Navy wife (and mother of three).
.
Neither sister ever forgot the message they had learned from early childhood: Get an education. Become independent, and always Strive for self-sufficiency.
Eventually, Vivian and Beverly found themselves, both with adult children, and with grandchildren, living in Arizona.
Vivian earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Nebraska and a Master of Accounting from the University of Arizona. Along with only 4 percent of the nation, Vivian passed the entire CPA exam on her first sitting. She also became a Certified Public Accountant, was employed by a national CPA firm and by the Internal Revenue Service. She taught accounting at Pima Community College where she won the Apple Award for teaching excellence. She also owned and sold several businesses.
Beverly earned both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Nursing, an MBA, and became a registered nurse in Arizona. She was the Chief Nursing Officer at Kingman Regional Medical Center, worked as a flight nurse on the Arizona DPS helicopter and taught paramedic classes. Beverly taught nursing classes for Northern Arizona University, and also completed all course work for the doctoral program in health care education.
Early in 2012, Vivian and Beverly found themselves in partnership as owners of a home health agency in Kingman, Arizona. In 2016, Vivian sold back to the company, her ownership interest in the agency. By the summer of 2017, Vivian was antsy to work again. In September, 2017, Hacienda Home Health was licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services and was began accepting its first home health patients. By March, 2018, Hacienda had passed its initial Medicare survey and was fully credentialed.
The rest is history. Vivian has, again, become involved in the administrative/financial/management activities of Beverly's Kingman home health agency. Beverly has become a part owner and Clinical Director for Hacienda Home Health Care. And, in March, 2021, Hacienda passed its SECOND Medicare accreditation survey!
